The Chattanooga Craft Beer Guide
The Island Point Team · February 12, 2026 · 7 min
Chattanooga’s craft scene punches well above its weight. For a mid-size Tennessee city, the density and quality of local breweries is remarkable. And at Island Point, we make sure the best of them are always on our shelf.
The Local Breweries We Stock
Hutton & Smith Brewing Company consistently produces some of the best IPAs and pale ales in the region. Their flagship offerings are always in our cooler. Naked River Brewing brings crowd-pleasing lagers and easy-drinking options that work for cookouts and game days. WanderLinger Brewing pushes boundaries with creative seasonal releases — when we can get them, they sell fast.
What’s Trending in 2026
Hazy IPAs are still king in Chattanooga, but we’re seeing a real resurgence of clean, crisp lagers and pilsners. People are also gravitating toward lighter session beers and craft hard seltzers. On the other end of the spectrum, barrel-aged stouts continue to have a dedicated following, especially as the weather cools down.
Our Staff Picks This Month
Every month, our beer team picks six favorites that are drinking especially well right now. These range from local releases to imports and national craft favorites. Stop by the store and look for our staff pick shelf tags, or call us at (423) 553-1515 and we’ll tell you what’s hot.
Building Your Own Six-Pack
One of the best things about shopping at Island Point is our mix-and-match six-pack option. Grab singles of anything in the cooler and build your own custom pack. It’s the perfect way to try new styles without committing to a full six-pack of something you’ve never had. Our team can suggest combinations based on what you already like.
We carry over 265 beers from local, national, and international breweries. Visit us at 5987 Brainerd Rd in Chattanooga to explore the full selection.
